Reporting to the Sales Engineering Director, this position will be a key contributor of SOLiD’s continued growth and success.  Duties will include the following;

Responsibilities

  • Develop and present technical presentations at customer meetings and perform product demonstrations
  • Create and maintain relationships with all major wireless carriers
  • Work closely with all SOLiD Directors of carrier accounts
  • Assist SOLiD Product Team with all Wireless Service Provider lab installations and approvals
  • Create and distribute bi-weekly updates to sales team for wireless carriers
  • RFP technical response support
  • Manage all technical aspects with major wireless carriers
  • Support of SOLiD Wireless Service Providers on all technical matters
  • Collaborate with sales personnel to enhance and promote team technical knowledge base
  • Develop application notes and white papers on related technical topics
  • Provide feedback to Product Management and R&D regarding existing and future product requirements.
  • Assist training department providing technical input to training materials
  • Assist marketing department in providing technical input to marketing materials

Qualifications

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in DAS engineering and knowledge of sales process. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must be prepared for extensive travel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent working experience.
  • Ability to use basic office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD Lite,
  • Ability to use RF design tools such as iBwave, Intimate knowledge of propagation modeling and tools.
  • Excellent customer interface skills working with Wireless Services providers and end Enterprise customers.
  • Excellent presentation and professional written communication skills.
  • Intimate working knowledge CDMA, GSM, iDEN, UMTS, LMR, EvDo, LTE, and WiMAX technologies.
  • Intimate knowledge of public safety systems/solutions and experience with the implementation of these solutions.
  • Ability to apply logarithmic RF math concepts to perform power link budget calculations
  • Ability to use basic RF and networking tools such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, Cellular/PCS Optimization test sets, JDSU to conduct RF site surveys and troubleshoot real customer problems.
  • Knowledge of available products and emerging industry standards (for instance LTE and WIMAX)

The Events Marketing Manager leads the day-to-day activities for all event initiatives, both internal and external with the objective to position SOLiD as a thought leader and trusted resource to gain market share. You will be the engine that drives flawless execution of bold ideas for events. You work closely with internal stakeholders, collaborate with partners, and leverage external resources. Qualified candidates must have a background in the technology industry and demonstrable experience in developing and executing impactful event campaigns. The ideal candidate knows all the tricks for averting disaster in a convention center and, instead, pulls off spectacular events with aplomb. Culturally, she/he is confident and inspired while grounded with grace, integrity and humility. The right professional will feel confident in taking responsibility and roll up her/his sleeves to work alongside all members of the team to deliver results. The Events Manager reports to the SVP, Marketing.

Duties will include the following;

Responsibilities

  • Events (internal and external): Orchestrate events including trade shows, speaking engagements (speakers bureau), training/user seminars, VIP events, receptions and webinars as well as annual corporate retreat from planning, timelines, negotiation, vendor management, partner collaboration, logistics, promotion, lead capture and ROI analysis. Track and publish calendar or events/webinars. Manage and oversee event logistics including, but not limited to, site selection, reserving booth space, managing hotel reservations, coordinating demo equipment, shipping to/from event, communicating event details to relevant stakeholders and onsite management. Handle booth layout designs, exhibition graphics production and show services, as well as coordinate onsite logistics such as booth setup and dismantling. Recommend and coordinate presenters and staffing with department stakeholders. Identify requirements for promotional items; source through vendors; and manage storefront/inventory to support event, training, sales and other needs.
  • Program Management & Budget: Create and manage project plans/timelines; execute campaigns flawlessly and within budget; reconcile expenses against budget. Establish, document and continuously improve media and events process and procedure. Conduct post-mortem analysis of qualitative and quantitative results against goals and objectives. Maintain campaign archives including general information, contracts, budgets, feedback, photos, collateral and promotional materials.
  • Publish post event summaries to the company in a timely way
  • Compile and provide analysis and recommendation based on post event surveys

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Communications, Journalism, PR, English or related business field
  • 5+ years of experience in event planning within the wireless industry and/or technology industry
  • A personality that thrives in a demanding, quick-turnaround environment where change is a daily reality.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with an inherent ‘’can-do’’ attitude and creative problem-solving skills.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Marketing, SOLiD Americas, this position will be a key contributor of SOLiD’s continued growth and success. The EMEA Marketing Manager is responsible for increasing mindshare for the SOLiD brand through the creation, execution, and management of agile and sophisticated marketing initiatives including internal/external communications; media relations; lead generation; channel marketing; and event management in EMEA region. 
The EMEA Marketing Manager works closely with internal stakeholders, collaborates with partners, and manages external resources including Creative and Media agencies. Qualified candidates must have a background in the wireless and/or optical transport industry and demonstrable experience in developing and executing impactful marketing campaigns. 
Duties will include the following. 
Responsibilities, Duties and Education 

  • Communications: Drive SOLiD mindshare among customers, partners and buyers via a steady drumbeat of content and engagement across multiple marketing vehicles including email, newsletters, website, the SOLiD blog, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube as well as co-marketing and paid placement. Lead internal communications initiatives. 
  • Develop and execute against an editorial calendar. Develop new content and repackage existing content. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of messaging and positioning. 
  • Media Relations: Manage media relations program including thought leadership outreach, byline articles, press releases and rapid response. Progress SOLiD “positive controversy” issues and themes; monitor the market; track editorial and awards calendars; maintain editor/analyst contact lists. Engage and manage agency/freelance resources.
  • Identify and train key corporate spokespeople and serve as company spokesperson when appropriate.

  • Lead Generation: Develop strategies and focused programs designed to engage, nurture and progress relationships within target markets segments using available inbound and outbound marketing activities. Collaborate with Sales to create lead scoring parameters to determine sales readiness. Evaluate and recommend lead generation and marketing automation software for campaign management and measurement. 
  • Program Management & Budget: Lead the creation, execution, and management of cross-program, integrated marketing programs. Manage the marketing programs budget including forecast, spend and ROI analysis. 
  • Fluent in written and oral English (additional languages preferred) 
  • 4-year college degree in Marketing or equivalent with 6 years of related experience
